Donal, Cormac, Laura and I have arrived safely into Addis, the capital of Ethiopia. Internet here is still bad and no electricity in the hotel this morning. Our blog entries wont be appearing every day and i guess we will only manage a blog a week so dont be concerned with the lack of communication. We have met with our local partners and everything has started off very well. Everyone is eagerly awaiting the arrival of the volunteers for teaching.

For volunteers arriving next week, my advice would be to sleep if you can between Heathrow and Rome (half load of passengers from Heathrow and the plane fills the other half from a 45 minute stop in Rome 3 hours into the flight). Theres no peace after that stop with meals and lights on/off/on/off. Rest well, gets your teaching practice in and see you next week.

Eoghan.
