Camara had a great RACE to EDUCATE team at the Flora Women’s Mini Marathon. We were delighted to have such a great team and really appreciate everyone’s effort. 40 of the group are either going to Africa this summer to teach computer training or were family members fundraising for their travel costs. 85 were walking/running and  fundraising for Camara’s campaign Race to Educate,  to equip schools in Africa with refurbished computers,  educational softwarer and  IT training. Stephen McDonagh, who is going to Lesotho with his wife Alicen to teach computer skills, walked the 10 K  in an ivory off the shoulder wedding dress. Thanks to everyone who helped us get such a great group together and who helped on the day.  Special thanks to Andy, Bernard, Kevin, Bernie, Kurt, John, JB, Louise, Annmarie, Fiona and Michelle. There will be a draw on June 20th. For every 250 raised, the fundraiser gets another ticket in the draw to win a place in a visit to Mombassa and Lamu Island in Kenya later in the year.
