We were overjoyed to receive a generous computer donation from expert building service engineers, Thermodial, on October 22nd. Turlough Kinane (Financial Controller and ICT Manager at Thermodial) and Andy Donlan (Marketing and Innovation Assistant) visited us at our headquarters in Chapelizod, Dublin, to deliver used ICT equipment which will be loaded with educational software and delivered to schools in Africa, Jamaica and Ireland.
Who Are Thermodial?
Founded in 1987, Thermodial are specialists in planned preventative maintenance of heating ventilation, air-conditioning and electrical systems. They strive to deliver engineer focused service in these areas that will exceed their customer’s expectations. You can find more information on Thermodial here.
At Camara, we rely on the donation of computers by businesses and individuals so that we may effectively deliver digital literacy to children from disadvantaged communities around the world. The computers which were donated by Thermodial shall be refurbished and fitted with Camara’s eLearning software, before being sent to our schools so as to greatly improve the standard of education received by students. Each computer allows 21 children to acquire the essential 21st Century skill of digital literacy. We are extremely grateful to Thermodial for recognising the benefits of computer reuse, and for donating their used ICT so that the education received by the children we serve may be enhanced.
