Founder of Haven Leslie Buckley with Camara’s Ailish O’Reilly

Camara is delighted to announce that Haven Partnership will be sponsoring a minimum of ten more projects in Haiti, to supply computer equipment to schools and Women’s projects over the next five years. The Haven and Camara initiative will provide 10,500 people with access to ICT and an improved quality of education, as well as enabling them to become digitally literate in the process.

This development follows a recent trip by the Camara team to observe the progress achieved on previous Haven sponsored projects located in Île à Vache, an island located off the South of Haiti. The success of these projects that began in May means Haven are very happy to continue working with Camara.

Transporting Camara computers to Île à Vache

Visiting  l’Ecole St Francois d’Assisse and  l’Ecole Bon Samaritan, the team received positive reports about the recently installed eLearning Centres.  Camara was delighted to see the positive impact the computers were already making on students and how well the equipment was being maintained. Teachers at both locations provided strong feedback about the project and demonstrated their enthusiasm in using the computers to improve the education of Haitian children.

Camara is looking forward to similar success stories in the future thanks to the renewed commitment of Haven Partnership. On behalf of all the future beneficiaries; mèsi anpil zanmi nou yo nan Haven Partnership – many thanks to our friends at Haven Partnership!
