Anna and Steven at the launch of ‘Your Laptop Can Make A Difference’ campaign

Have you received a new laptop or tablet for Christmas which means you now have an unwanted laptop lying idle? If the answer to this question is ‘yes’, then Camara Education can help. Your old laptop can transform the lives of children in Ireland, Africa and Haiti who would otherwise not have access to educational technology. Since 2005, Camara Education has given almost one million children the gift of digital literacy, and with the help of your donations, that number will continue to soar in 2015.

Camara wipes the hard-drive of every computer it receives to US Dept of Defence standards, making it impossible to retrieve any sensitive data. The computers are then loaded with educational software and shipped to where they are needed most. By giving disadvantaged children access to good-quality, affordable IT equipment, you can help change their futures for the better, while also clearing out some of the post-Christmas clutter.
