Here at Camara we are usually accustomed to mail of the electronic format, so it was a welcome surprise to receive this letter from a young student in Haiti, benefiting from the use of Camara
computers in his classroom. This heartfelt letter is from Edlet Darcy, a student in the 6th grade of the Jesus-Mary Parish school in Haiti. We were able to translate the letter from French to English and below is Edlet’s message of thanks to Camara and the people of Ireland for their kind donations of computer equipment.
From: Edlet Darcy
To the Irish who have given us the equipment and technology for our computer lab at the Jesus-Mary Parish School.
Friendly greetings from Haiti. Today I am very happy to write you this short note to thank you all for the computers you have given us.
The purpose of my letter, is to give my thanks to computers you have given us. I now know a lot of things and I’m able to research information from all over the world for my studies. I think these computers are very important for me and the school . For this, I say a big thank you to all the Irish. May God bless you all and the work you do.
