Masoud M. Ali
Camara Kenya CEO
Joined Camara in March 2014. Holds a Bachelor’s degree ( Bachelor of Arts). Has had the opportunity to work as a high school teacher, as an Early Childhood Development teacher trainer, managed an Early Childhood Project of the Aga Khan Foundation between 2007- 2012. Worked for Chemonics International- Kenya Transition Initiative ( USAID funded ) between mid 2012 to Feb 2014. Happy to get the opportunity to work for Camara to enhance education and the use of ICT in Kenyan schools and the general community.
Ali Mohamed Ali
Ali is an IT trainer at Camara Kenya Educational Limited, in Mombasa – Kenya. In 2009 and 2010 he finished his Trainer Certificate among with technical courses like “Computer skillbuilding”, “P.C Repair & Maintenance”, “Computer Networking”, “Website Development using HTML & CSS”, “Moodle (e-Learning) connecting students”. That led him to become a Workshop Manager at Camara Kenya, Lamu Sub-Hub and later Sub-Hub Coordinator. Currently main Camara Kenya hub IT trainer training teachers acquiring ICT skill builder.
Assistant Sales & Marketing
Asia joined Camara Education Limited on February 2011 and undergone a 3 months course. Volunteered for 2 years and 8 months in all departments(Technical,Sales & Marketing/vetting, Training & Monitoring & Evaluation). Officially employed at Camara Education Limited ( CKE ) as Assistant Sales & Marketing Officer on August 2013 up to date and currently volunteering at Mombasa Tech Community.
Lynn Tansy Aura
Lynn is currently studying in Kenya Institute of management (KIM) taking her diploma in Business management and working as an Accounts Clerk in Camara Education Limited. She joined Camara in April 2012 as a volunteer where she went through a three month training. The training involved learning of computer hardware maintenance, software refurbishment and networking.
After the three month period she continued volunteering with Camara for eight more months whereby she was in various department i.e. Training, Technical Marketing and Administration. During this period she gained wealth of knowledge and experience on how the company works. She was able to be sent in various parts of the country too support schools in terms of maintenance and facilitated various training sessions.
Lynn decided to specialize in the training department in the month of October 2012. Finally, she was employed as a Junior IT trainer on 1st of January 2013. From 1st February 2014 to October 2015 she worked as a Senior IT trainer Camara Education Limited ( CKE ). After acquiring her Diploma in Business management specializing in accounts, she decided to change department to join the finance team still at CKE where she now works as an Accounts Clerk to date.
George Kazungu Charo
George joined CAMARA in 2012 as a volunteer and then in 2013 as an ICT trainer. He has a diploma in Information Technology and the Camara volunteering certification.
George is responsible for delivery of quality Camara training courses as per the Camara Africa Curriculum. Ensure that all Training administrative tasks are carried out as expected and directed by Management. Work with the Camara Training Manager to train and coach volunteers in Camara. Scheduling and Co-ordination of training with schools and educational institutes. Working with Camara CEO, Camara Training Manager and Camara Learning Officers to develop and implement training strategies. Assist, collaborate and support other Camara Departments such as vetting, sales, technical and marketing when required.
Ngombo Samson Peter
Joined Camara in 2009 as a volunteer since then have been working as the organization office maintenance up to date. I am looking forward to face the challenges ahead with an optimist mind in the near future.
Joined Camara in April 2013 as a volunteer passed through the volunteer training course on ICT also a holder of level one certificate of ICT from Dutch Hope Foundation. Since then he has been working under the sales and marketing department, his main responsibility being doing vetting of school labs before they do receive computers from the Organization and doing follow ups on potential school to purchase computers.
Zuhura Khamis Salim
Zuhura joined Camara in Feb 2008, pass a volunteer training course on Hardware and maintenance. She has 3 years working experience as a volunteer in Monitoring and Evaluation, and a vetting officer ensuring all the institutions have designated rooms for e-learning centres in terms of security and safety for Camara Organisation.
Holder of Fetac level 3 train the trainer and Intel Teach Program from Camara.
Since then she has been working as Marketing & Sales manager.

Camara Africa Centre Team
Global Education Manager (CEL)
Mathieu has worked in international educational development in Central America, Caribbean, Africa and Europe for the past six years focusing on teaching and learning practices. He completed a Masters in Science Education at Universite Laval in Canada with a focus on cross-disciplinary framework for studying different forms of human practices as development processes, both individual and social levels interlinked at the same time. His academic background and personal interest have led him to work in a variety of sectors including science teaching, ICT in education, education policies and policy analysis. Mathieu joined Camara in 2015 and oversees the education and training programmes. He works together with the CEL Education Department and the Camara Africa Centre Team in designing and implementing the educational programmes and supporting all the education teams across our network.
Technical Director (CAC)
Farid Ali is the Technical Director for Camara Africa Centre and is based in Mombasa, Kenya. He was amongst the first volunteers to join Camara Education in 2005. He is very experienced and has spent a lot of time on the ground working for Camara. Farid Ali assisted in setting up the education hubs in Kenya (Mombasa and Lamu), Rwanda, Lesotho, Uganda and Zambia and is responsible for bringing the level of all the education hubs in Africa to the same standard.
Head of Africa Operations (CAC)
Lotta joined Camara Education as the Africa Operations Manager in 2015 and now oversees Camara Education’s operations in Africa. She supports the hubs and hub CEOs on a daily basis, together with the Camara Africa Centre team. She has worked in international development in southern and eastern Africa for a number of years, and has experience in a variety of sectors including , enterprise and business development, agricultural and environment. She is an experienced project planner and manager, and has experience as a technical adviser in mainstreaming gender, issues of social development and climate sustainability.
Lotta’s academic background is in social sciences and international development but she also has more than ten years experience in sales and marketing and customer service roles in the private sector.
Standard and Compliance Specialist
Yared joined Camara’s Team in January 2015 and is Camara Ethiopia’s Country Director. Prior to joining Camara, Yared worked for Accenture Consulting for 5 years in the US before he packed his belongings moved to Ethiopia to work in the area of ICT in Education. Since then, Yared has worked as an ICT Consultant for Ministry of Education and has also served as an ICT Director of Dire Dawa University. Yared is passionate about transforming the delivery and quality of Education through ICT. He has a BSc in Informatics and is a Masters candidate in Management and Leadership.
Cynthia Ouna Mwaniki
Regional Finance Specialist
Cynthia started as a volunteer in the year 2012 and attained a training course on ICT Basic. Prior to becoming Regional Finance Specialist, she worked as a Deputy Sales Manager at Camara Education Mombasa, marketing Camara Education Kenya to schools, institutions and colleges across the country.
iMlango 2 Project Manager, Kenya
Leticia is a competent personable and committed education specialist and youth development professional with excellent communication skills, fluency in English and outstanding facilitation skills and capability to work in a fast paced challenging environment. Leticia is well versed in and acquired fifteen years’ hands-on experience in education; ten teaching English Language and Literature in English in secondary school in Kenya and five providing technical expertise in education management and program design and implementation in Non-Governmental Organisation setting. In her last assignment, she worked with CARE International Somalia as the Education Adviser. She has a Master of Education Degree in Education Planning and Administration from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Leticia joined Camara Education Limited in July, 2017 as the iMlango 2 Project Manager and is based in Mombasa, Kenya.
iKnowledge 2 Project Manager, Tanzania
Bringing into the team institutional knowledge from serving as the iKnowledge Project Coordinator 2016 for Phase 1, Mwilu currently serves as the Project Manager for Phase 2.Having served as the Country Manager for The New Global Project, an action research and innovation project led by a multidisciplinary research team from Aalto University in Finland, Ms Kibbassa was institutional in establishing and leading the Tanzanian project operation amidst linking various stakeholders, an area that she is most competent in. Mwilu brings to the project her expertise in working with and managing different stakeholders such as government sectors, education sectors, donors and private sector. Not only multi stakeholder management, but her tact in managing high level projects and managing people makes her one of the most valuable assets in the team.
Mwilu holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from Tampere University of Applied Science in Finland and a Masters degree in Ecotechnology and Sustainable development from Mid Sweden University in Sweden.
