Camara Zambia & Lesotho CEO
Justin was appointed CEO of Camara Lesotho in April 2013 and CEO of Camara Tanzania in August 2014. In August 2016 he departed Tanzania taking over the role of CEO Camara Zambia. He currently oversees both Lesotho and Zambia operations. Justin holds qualifications in mathematics, archaeology and education, and has a background in ICT and communications.
Cynthia joined Camara Zambia in February 2017 and has responsibility for Camara Zambia’s finance function. Cynthia is also pursuing a degree in Financial Management.
Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
Jane joined Camara in 2016. Jane has a Bachelor’s Degree in Demography and a certificate in Monitoring and Evaluation. She also has 3 years’ experience in Research, Monitoring and Evaluation. Prior to working with Camara, Jane worked with IDinsight, an international NGO.
Brenda joined Camara in September 2015 and is responsible for hub facilities and provisions. She provides a welcome for customers and other visitors to the Lusaka hub!
Sales & Marketing Manager
Moira joined Camara Zambia in 2015. She initially joined as a volunteer in the Sales and Marketing Department, however, she is now driving the Camara Zambia sales and partnerships. Moira also has a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration.
Francis is one of the first volunteers who joined Camara Education Zambia in 2009. He is currently working as Technical Manager and is responsible for all activities in the technical department. In 2010, he was appointed as HOD of the technical department in the Kitwe digital Hub.
Technical and Training Officer
Emmanuel joined Camara Zambia as a Technical and Training Officer following an internship in 2014. Since then he has been working as a Technical Officer and part Trainer, with particular knowledge in computer hardware and software maintenance. He also has a degree in Education.
John joined camara Education in March 2015 as an intern.Inspired by the fact that Camara uses technology to deliver 21st century skills to improve education in disadvantaged communities around the world. He later joined the technical support team as a technical support and stores officer.
Kelly joined Camara as a technical support officer in 2016. He previously worked as an intern in 2015. As well as studying computer engineering, networking and database management system (Oracle) he is specialised in computer hardware and networking.
Technical and Networking Officer
Solomon did an internship with Camara Education Zambia in 2014. He subsequently became the Vetting Officer providing lab set up support to schools. Currently working as a Technical and Networking Officer, he has an Advanced Diploma in Computer Engineering, Cisco CCNA and a certificate in Telecom Fiber Communication.
Vincent k. Bwalya
Vincent joined Camara Zambia in January 2012 as a volunteer eventually progressing to Training Manager. He is a trained senior secondary school teacher and was a key player in the Camara 2015 Training Needs Analysis.He also supported delivery of the first ever Camara Zambia computer studies windows based training which received very positive feedback.
Osman joined Camara Zambia as a Training Officer in October 2015. Osman has vast experience in ICT Training having worked as a part time tutor in ICT for various high school institutions in Zambia. He also previously worked as Training consultant/Technical support for an International organisation providing ICT courses.
Richard joined Camara Zambia in 2015. He has been a driver since 1994 in different companies and has acquired enough experience which is instrumental in terms of locating different places around Zambia.

Camara Africa Centre Team
Global Education Manager (CEL)
Mathieu has worked in international educational development in Central America, Caribbean, Africa and Europe for the past six years focusing on teaching and learning practices. He completed a Masters in Science Education at Universite Laval in Canada with a focus on cross-disciplinary framework for studying different forms of human practices as development processes, both individual and social levels interlinked at the same time. His academic background and personal interest have led him to work in a variety of sectors including science teaching, ICT in education, education policies and policy analysis. Mathieu joined Camara in 2015 and oversees the education and training programmes. He works together with the CEL Education Department and the Camara Africa Centre Team in designing and implementing the educational programmes and supporting all the education teams across our network.
Technical Director (CAC)
Farid Ali is the Technical Director for Camara Africa Centre and is based in Mombasa, Kenya. He was amongst the first volunteers to join Camara Education in 2005. He is very experienced and has spent a lot of time on the ground working for Camara. Farid Ali assisted in setting up the education hubs in Kenya (Mombasa and Lamu), Rwanda, Lesotho, Uganda and Zambia and is responsible for bringing the level of all the education hubs in Africa to the same standard.
Head of Africa Operations (CAC)
Lotta joined Camara Education as the Africa Operations Manager in 2015 and now oversees Camara Education’s operations in Africa. She supports the hubs and hub CEOs on a daily basis, together with the Camara Africa Centre team. She has worked in international development in southern and eastern Africa for a number of years, and has experience in a variety of sectors including , enterprise and business development, agricultural and environment. She is an experienced project planner and manager, and has experience as a technical adviser in mainstreaming gender, issues of social development and climate sustainability.
Lotta’s academic background is in social sciences and international development but she also has more than ten years experience in sales and marketing and customer service roles in the private sector.
Standard and Compliance Specialist
Yared joined Camara’s Team in January 2015 and is Camara Ethiopia’s Country Director. Prior to joining Camara, Yared worked for Accenture Consulting for 5 years in the US before he packed his belongings moved to Ethiopia to work in the area of ICT in Education. Since then, Yared has worked as an ICT Consultant for Ministry of Education and has also served as an ICT Director of Dire Dawa University. Yared is passionate about transforming the delivery and quality of Education through ICT. He has a BSc in Informatics and is a Masters candidate in Management and Leadership.
Cynthia Ouna Mwaniki
Regional Finance Specialist
Cynthia started as a volunteer in the year 2012 and attained a training course on ICT Basic. Prior to becoming Regional Finance Specialist, she worked as a Deputy Sales Manager at Camara Education Mombasa, marketing Camara Education Kenya to schools, institutions and colleges across the country.
iMlango 2 Project Manager, Kenya
Leticia is a competent personable and committed education specialist and youth development professional with excellent communication skills, fluency in English and outstanding facilitation skills and capability to work in a fast paced challenging environment. Leticia is well versed in and acquired fifteen years’ hands-on experience in education; ten teaching English Language and Literature in English in secondary school in Kenya and five providing technical expertise in education management and program design and implementation in Non-Governmental Organisation setting. In her last assignment, she worked with CARE International Somalia as the Education Adviser. She has a Master of Education Degree in Education Planning and Administration from the University of Nairobi, Kenya. Leticia joined Camara Education Limited in July, 2017 as the iMlango 2 Project Manager and is based in Mombasa, Kenya.
iKnowledge 2 Project Manager, Tanzania
Bringing into the team institutional knowledge from serving as the iKnowledge Project Coordinator 2016 for Phase 1, Mwilu currently serves as the Project Manager for Phase 2.Having served as the Country Manager for The New Global Project, an action research and innovation project led by a multidisciplinary research team from Aalto University in Finland, Ms Kibbassa was institutional in establishing and leading the Tanzanian project operation amidst linking various stakeholders, an area that she is most competent in. Mwilu brings to the project her expertise in working with and managing different stakeholders such as government sectors, education sectors, donors and private sector. Not only multi stakeholder management, but her tact in managing high level projects and managing people makes her one of the most valuable assets in the team.
Mwilu holds a degree in Environmental Engineering from Tampere University of Applied Science in Finland and a Masters degree in Ecotechnology and Sustainable development from Mid Sweden University in Sweden.
