We had the First graduation ceremony for the Camara -Kenya lamu hub on
15-04-2010. We had the Privilege of having the Camara African, CEO,Trisha Olsson in attendance. There were 60 graduates. They were presented with various skillbuilder certificates in ICT modules like networking, hardware and maintenance and operating system programming. The function started
at 8.00pm kenyan time at the roof-top pavilion of the Sunsail Hotel on
the Old-town Lamu seafront.
We all had a great time. I really Thank the Lamu people who turned up
in such large numbers that all seats were taken. I also thank the
Camara team in Kenya and Ireland who work tirelessly behind the scenes
to make all this happen. I would like to particularly thank Kirsty for
all the work she does in managing and generating the content of the
subject matter for the skill-builder modules that we teach. I would
also like to thank Trisha Olsson and Joshua for having taken valuable
time to show up.
I would also like to thank Mr Juma mohammed” JAY” -Technical officer
in charge of Lamu hub, and Ali Dzoro Hardware technician, for the huge
effort they put in, to make the graduation successful. These two run the
lamu hub and so far they have had a great start. By Daudi Morara, CEO, Camara Hub, Mombasa, Kenya.
