Located in Mumbwa district, Central Province, Zambia, Kalilwe Day Secondary School has made significant strides in integrating technology into its classrooms thanks to the support of the Lenovo Foundation. In 2023, Camara Zambia installed a local area network, 25 desktop computers, 1 server, and 2 laptops, along with a classroom server designed to provide a wealth of educational resources.
Alongside the hardware installations, we provided essential capacity-building training for educational leaders in the district and an ICT Skillbuilder training session for Kalilwe’s staff. In 2024, this training was reinforced with a teacher refresher course, ensuring that the teachers are equipped to maximise the use of their new digital resources.
Kalilwe’s journey represents an exciting step forward in bringing digital education to life in rural Zambia, and we are proud to support the teachers and students as they embrace the opportunities technology can offer.
